3.1– Assembly of the box

The AUTOMATIC POINT SUPPORT ATTACHMENT
BASE (A) can also be installed using the AUTOMATIC
POINT SUPPORT SPACER (C) as necessary

In cases where the box is being assembled with the
GUIDE BASE PROFILE prior to its installation, attach
the SIDE COVER JOINT C/PF. GUIDE (D) using the
DIN 912 bolt.

Use DIN 7991 bolts to attach the AUTOMATIC POIN
T
SUPPORT ATTACHMENT BASE (A) to the BOX COVER (B), installing the nuts in their hexagonal holders
as shown in the figure
MOTOR
In cases where the electric motor has been selected as the lifting system,
attach the motor support (E) to the support guide piece using the DIN 7991
bolt holes.
GEARBOX
Use the DIN 7991 bolts to attach the
gearbox directly to the BOX COVER
(B). The nuts are housed in the gearbox itself.
There are two installation configurations for the gearbox: with front exit or
rear exit.
GEARBOX WITH FRONT EXIT
The images above show the front gearbox configuration.
Note: This configuration requires a notch to be cut into the
FRONT PROFILE using the dimensions seen in the image
to the left.

MOTOR SOMFY
In cases where the electric motor is selected as the lifting system, use the DIN
7991 boltholes to attach the HiPro support (E’) to the support guide part.
Use the adhesive decorative labels
to hide the hardware that attaches
the motor, gearbox, or Automatic
Point Support.

BOX ASSEMBLY

Use the DIN 7982 bolts to attach the BOX COVERS (B) to
the BOX PROFILE (F).
Attach the PR. FABRIC PROTECTION STRIP (G) according
to the details seen here.

There are various configurations depending upon the box profile and/or installation method used.
STRAIGHT SCREEN BOX PROFILE for direct assembly on the
GUIDE PROFILES or direct attachment between walls to ceiling
or face without the need for a specific FACE/CEILING SUPPORT
SCREEN BOS PROFILE for direct assembly on the GUIDE PROFILES or direct attachment between walls, but using the specifics
FACE/CEILING SUPPORT for attachment to the ceiling or wall.

3.3– Preparing the fabric
Insert the HEM ROD (M) into the upper and lower sleeve of the fabric.

Procedure for inserting the BALL CHAIN (N) into the side:
Attach the BALL CHAIN (N) to the end of one section of the HEM ROD (M) with
a length slightly longer that the side sleeves of the fabric. Insert the end of the
ROD without the BALL CHAIN and push it in until the other end rod with the
BALL CHAIN comes out.
Attached the BALL CHAIN at the upper end using a staple or similar and trim
the excess, leaving some extra BALL CHAIN with respect to the fabric. About 3
balls should be visible beyond the fabric.

3.4– Drop bar

The internal geometry of the profiles allows for
various configurations of counterweights, to adjust these to the specific needs of each install
ation.
The system allows use of:

A 25x20x1.5 hollow iron bar (O) weighing
0.98 kg/m
One 25x10 solid metal bar unit (P) weighting 1.96 kg/m
P
From 1 to 3 units of 20x5 solid metal bar
(Q) of 0.79 kg/m (to be used together
with the hollow iron bar

Insert the drop bar onto the lower part of the fabric.
Upper fabric attachement
Attach the DROP BAR CODE (R) using a plug and
screw.

Clamp in the remaining fabric using the press-on
CAP (S) with two screws. To facilitate the threading
operation, attach the CAP (S)
and then use a
punch or similar tool to make some holes in the
fabric first.

3.5– GUIDE PROFILES
GUIDE PROFILES

The GUIDE PROFILE assembly is made up of two profiles: the BASE GUIDE PROFILE (T) and the COVER
GUIDE PROFILE (U). A clip is used for the joint between
the two.

PROFILE (U). A clip is us
ed for the joint between the two.

In cases where the cover only has an aesthetic function, use the
DIN 7982 bolt to attach the LOWER BIP GUIDE COVER (W) at
the lower part of the BASE GUIDE PROFILE.

In cases where you want to attach the BASE GUIDE PROFILE to
the floor during installation, you must use the BIP GUIDE FLOOR
ATTACHMENT COVER (X).

Use the DIN 7982 bolt to attach the END PIECE (V) at the upper
part of the BASE GUIDE PROFILE (U) .

In cases with the BASE PROFILE COVER, do not attach any
supplementary part in the lower area.

4.– INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
4.1– Installation using face/ceiling support
The same support can be used to install the box to the ceiling or a
Wall face.
Intall the support at about 90 mm from the side of the box.
INSTALLATION SEQUENCE FOR THE BOX USING THE FACE/CELING SUPPORT
The FACE/CEILING SUPPORT keeps the box in its position until it is attached using the stud seen in
the third
figure from the sequence above.

When the box is installed using the FACE/CELINIG
SUPPORT, the SIDE COVER JOING C/PF.GUIDE
(D) in such a way that the DIN 912 bolt has its
head in the lower part ant the nut in the upper part ot
the BOX COVER. This allows the bolt to be tightened
once the BASE GUIDE PROFILES is correctly positioned.

4.2– Installation without face/ceiling support
When the box is installed without the FACE7CEILING SUPORT, the SIDE COVER JOINT C/PF.
GUIDE is assembled in advance of the BOX COVER
allowing it to be inserted into the BASE PROFILE
GUIDE.
Once the portico is assembled, the guide and the
box can be attached directly .

The BASE GUIDE PROFILE can be attached to
the floor when
the BIP FLOOR ATTACHMENT GUIDE COVER has been attached at its lower part.

Once the system is attached, the fabric is then inserted
With the fabric slightly unrolled, engage the motor in its support or insert the crank rod into the gearbox, then press on
the other end of the rolling tube so that the point bearing shaft will be automatically clipped.

Once the rolling tube and fabric are properly installed in the box, the first operation is ready to take place. Lower the fabric completely and then perform the rolling operation, using your hands to guide
the fabric into the ball chain area. It is not
necessary to stretch the fabric toward the
sides. This operation ensures proper rolling of the ball chain.
Next, click the GUIDE PROFILE COVER
into the BASE GUIDE PROFILE, confirming that the sheath with the ball cha
in is
not being pinched and that it is housed in
the gap between the guides, as shown in
the lower image.
Note: Verify that the clipping is complete
throughout the entire length of the profile.
Once the GUIDE PROFILES are clipped, THE FRONT PROFILE
can be installed.

Make a hole of Ø 2-2.5 mm about 5 mm from each end of
the BOX PROFILE. Finally, use the DIN 7981 screw to attach the FRONT PROFILE.
5.– CHANGING THE FABRIC
When the fabric must be changed the procedure to follow is the reverse of the installation.
1.
Looseb tge screw and remove the FRONT PROFILE.
2.
Unclip the GUIDE PROFILE COVER.
An easy way tl do this is to use the oval-shaped handle of a hand tool.
First, insert the hancle into the upper or lower end of the GUIDE PROFILE groove.
Then rotate the handle and the BASE GUIDE PROFILES will unclip.

To remove the fabric with
the Rolling tube, perform the following steps.
Press with a finger or a screwdriver supported in the Groove of the AUTOMATIC POINT SUPPORT (1). With
the AUTOMATIC POINT SUPPORT lock moves into its most retractable position, press upwards on the Rolling
tube until the point bearing shaft come out of its housing (2). The roller tube can now be removed from the box
(3).
